Yes, we used to have snow like this (12in)20y ago, a typical VA winter. No complaints except I wish I could ride a bit more. A drive by here w/pix. Sam is 100% walking and Nia is counting, spinning and drawing with crayons (I am THRILLED with the latter!). I am gearing up for my 1st solo art show in March and will post the details as soon as I can, it has been a challenge getting ready for it and I believe it's all a learning process, getting better each time I work at it. I hope to add pix from Sam and Nia in my next show ;p))

Organized Chaos
Just a quick post since we've had so much going on around here; Raising twins is soooooooo much fun and I have finally accepted our house will never be super clean again and I love love love the chaos, every day is something new and we are truly blessed that they have each other to play with, what else can I say!!
Now!!! we have had lots of snow, 24 inches and what a mess and more so ~ what fun it was ;p) so we had a white Xmas and got to spend more time at home b/c of the weather, a blessing for everyone to slow down and focus on our home life ;p) The kids are growing fast and are doing and saying things beyond my belief, ie; Diaper is Die-yee and we can sit at the kitchen island by ourselves, CRAZY!!ok, here's a few pix and I'll try to update more as my New Year resolution.

They love MOOSE and ZEE!
In the 1st pix the twins are waiting for the video to come on the computer, of course it's Moose and Zee's video so they will be very patient ;p)) Noggin is now Nick Jr; I hope they leave the same format. Family is doing great, all in good health, knock on wood, with e/o else getting sick we wash lots more and my hands are so dry, sacrifices right?
Oh yes ~ We took the twins to the Garlic Festival last wknd, pix above; they had lots of fun and are excellent festival patrons; good wine, good music and perfect weather!

Open Gym 24/7 & BoZart success ;p)
Nia is now walking 90% and Sam is crawling all over the house. Our home/gym is always busy but it's so much fun, how could this be work, right? I now have Noggin on my favorites (below NYLife and BB&T, how appropriate) and know every Moose and Zee song, and I have to say Laurie Berkner is pretty darn entertaining at 8AM. We've stopped counting teeth since the big molars arrived and the kids are now playing together, nicely too, how else right? I do rem. a few events where Craig, younger brother, and I had no idea we were related (politely speaking)and now we are best friends.
Pangea is growing up too and is turning out to be a sweet mare like her mom "Breeze", she reminds me of her in so many ways. The furry ones at home are doing well, we miss Poncho so much; I'm glad the twins got to meet him and share some special moments with our dear friend. I had a great opening at BoZart, sold one picture, and so many of my friends showed up and supported me, thank you everyone!! I'm working on some new idea's and hope to have another show in the Fall or Spring. Well that is the IDEA ~ one day at a time ;p)

Our best friend Poncho

.jpg)
Our sweet pug Poncho passed away 8/5/09, he was 17y old; it was a very sad event and we are devastated; the children have kept us from going into la la land and our other 6 animals feel his absence. He was dad's little dog and when he passed away Poncho mourned w/us as well. Now we mourn little Poncho and wish him wonderful playtime and peace in heaven. I have a lump in my throat as I type this and it has been almost 2 weeks. He had many challenges with his sight, hearing and arthritis but seemed to never miss when dinner was being served. Bless his little heart and we look forward to meeting him once again when he is all healthy and wild again ;p)

Rolling Along

Kids are growing fast, Nia is walking, Sam is rolling around and our furry ones are healthy and happy. The twins love their books so much that Nia races back to the nursery to sit as she goes thru them one by one then pushes them out of the way to get to the next one. Sam loves his books too and he does something funny w/his toys, he plays with them and then tosses them behind him, very funny to watch but mom has to clean up this mess of books and toys (for now). Nia has 2 more teeth, Sam has them on the way, lots of drooling activity. Pangea goes to her next show on Sunday and looks so much more filled out, she's growing up so fast & next Fall we start working on riding her. I am so excited about her progress! Oh and I joined Bozart gallery in dntn Cville and have some paintings on display for 1st Friday and thru the month of August. If any of you are nearby please drop in and say hi Friday. I posted one pix here, natch it's guitars, lol!

Our 1st trip to the ocean and a bit of culture to boot!
We took the twins to the OBX w/my brother and his family a few weeks ago and they had a blast! They loved the sand in their toes and to see the big blue ocean was amazing for EVERYONE, it's been 2y since I've been back to OBX and Den said it's been YEARS since he's been to OBX. Our house was fab, same one from before, oceanfront, 30y from water and close enough to run to the store to p/u what you need. We're hoping to go back this fall & maybe take Gracie.
All of the animals are doing well, getting sun, exercise and 2 squares a day. Pangea is going to her second show next month in Lexington and has really filled out. I'm trying to ride maybe 2x week, thanks to some very good friends who offer me their sweet horses to ride. I remember when it was hard to ride once every 2 weeks.
Culture note: I joined Bozart (Art gallery) last month and am very excited to show some new work. I'll post the invite on here so if anyone is interested please stop by during the month of August and see some local art; the official opening is 8/7/09, part of our Art First Friday.

Blankets & Cruise Control
It's almost been a year since their birth & I'm still amazed we have twins. Whenever I go out w/them I just stare at them in the rearview mirror and smile so big. They are a blessing and I'm so excited for them to enjoy the wonderful things we have planned for them and to just be HAPPY healthy kids!
We've discovered Sam is a "blanket baby". He loves to have anything cover his face and play peek a boo; I saw him holding a tiny bib over his face and it only covered a small part of his face and I rushed and got him a blanket, mommy to the rescue, hmm, he has improvising skills already! Sam has 6 teeth, Nia has 8. She's cruising around, just call her speedy, getting a few scrapes here and there and Sam is busy playing in the excersaucer. I think he would sleep in it if he had his choice. I suppose finally getting a high chair for them was an inevitable move equal to the discovery of cheerios for Nia. Sam has no interest in them, so we only have to sweep up after one child, not too bad for now ;p)
Our animals are doing well, Pangea has her first show this month and I'm moving my retired horse, Arionna, closer to home (mile up the street) this week!! Now we can go visit her more often and bring her lots of goodies, she is 27 this year, bless her sweet heart! I will post a new pix of her once she gets settled in her new home.
